The Shirts is een in New York gevestigde Amerikaanse punkband die in 1975 werd opgericht. De vroege bestaansperiode van de band (1975 tot 1981) was nauw verbonden met CBGB , een muziekclub in de Bowery . De band hervormde zich in 2003 met veel van de eerste leden en is momenteel actief.
Ik zie haar nog steeds staan (Annie Golden), net als Blondie onwaarschijnlijk ordinair kauwgom kauwend tijdens het zingen. Tell Me Your Plans blijft natuurlijk een geweldig nummer.
